Job Experience:
Staff Reporter, Hardwick Gazette (July 2003 to Nov. 2008)
For a little over five years, I worked as a full-time reporter for the Hardwick Gazette, covering a broad range of local and statewide stories at this weekly print newspaper. The topics I wrote about ranged from pleasant, human-interest features and coverage of town government to highly volatile and controversial issues that occasionally bubbled up in the communities we covered. In 2005, I received award recognition from the Vermont Press Association for my work on a series of stories covering major changes proposed to the state’s public records and open meeting laws.
